Well tomorrow is the big day for America. The long election campaign is over. Two very good candidates will have to wait for the "peoples voice". You all have your own thoughts and expectations, as we do down in New Zealand.
Our election day is on Saturday; the left of centre Labour Party is seeking its fourth 3 year term in succession; the rightwing National Party its first since being thrown out of office in 1999. There is much at stake especially with the world financial recession which will not help matters at all.
We all wait in anticipation?

Today is the day, but I expect there to be suprises, as there always seems to be. What I am most concerned about in this election is how some misinformed folks may vote color or non-color or vote "change" without really reallizing what each candidate supports in terms of values and perspective.
Our president has the ability to appoint the Supreme Count Judges who have the ability to sway a very great much in our land. The view a president has on issues affects more than economic change, which folks seem to be concentrating on. The view a president has on national security issues affects our armed forces and our ability to protect America and Americans.
As I see things, one candidate claims to want to change the way Bush has done things. The other claims to want to change Washington's way of doing things. So which is more broken than the other? Well, today our nation decides that.
Good post, Hutts.
