25,000 steps

A lot of the people I work will use pedometers to track home much walking they do each day. I though I would give it a try. Last week I average around 25,000 steps per shift and covered about 7 miles a day. We work 10 hour shifts. It was actually kind of fun…I never realized how much exercise I get each day at work.

Who were the most popular bloggers on BE in October. I did some research and it is not easy to determine as there is no date on our entries. So I have checked with some other details to determine if the posts were actually in October (checking on dates of comments etc) and in the order of the postings.

8 year old boy dies in a horrifying gun accident

A 8 year old boy is dead after losing control of the Uzi submachine gun he was shooting while at a gun show. The boy was being supervised by a licensed gun instructor and the boys father was only a few feet away. While holding the trigger the boy lost control of the gun and it pulled up and back firing into his head.

What is important in a community blogsite?

This site has some great supporters but from time we (the regulars) have issues with folk who post here - and post numerous items. Sploggers. Often these folk are also plagerists. They steal others articles and don't give credit to the person who originally wrote the article.

Have just become the second to earn 3000 user points here at Blogevolve...

Thought I might let you know that I have become the second blogger here at Blogevolve to earn 3000 pts. Elly is on 4683 pts, way out in front.

There were a lot of other active bloggersd here when I joined well over a year ago. I wonder where they have gone? Some got lost, or were unable to be active for some time for one reason or another.

Could be a good future for Blogevolve...

If everybody sticks around and continues to make regular visits and become involved, Blogevolve could have a secure future.With a solid core of regulars and some irregulars it will continue to be an interesting site.

Are Hurricanes becoming more common then before?

I remember hurricane Andrew back in 92’ it was a powerful category 5 hurricane that hit south Florida. At the time it was the first named storm or the Atlantic hurricane season. I traveled down there 9 months after the hurricane hit and debris was still stacked in piles all over the place.

Sploggers are not welcome at BE!

It is great to see such a wonderful community here at Blogevolve, but from time to time unwelcome sploggers post here.

We've had "attacks" in the last week - and they are now gone. I now know that there is a facility in place to deal with these folk, and ask that anyone who notices any splog or unwanted material, just add a comment "sploggers not welcome here" and I have it on good authority that the splog will be disposed of.
