Our Kiwi rowers have real chances of some Olympic medals...

Our Kiwi rowers have real chances of some Olympic medals. Six teams or individuals won their heats, and two others came second.

Our female single sculler came third in her quarter final, and three times world champion Mahe Drysdale won his narrowly. Other finals later in th week.

We have a few other chances in other sports, but our equestrian riders have done their dash.

Moss Burmester came...

4th equal and took it to Phelps early in the race. He was another Kiwi who had been sick; just run out of power in the last few metres. A bronze, at least, should have been his. But that is sport, and life! Ifs and buts!

Actually they were brought back...

to earth after some mediocre races in the semis. Mahe Drysdale was sick for days and lost 4 kilos from both ends!

Hope so...

two have made the finals and others semis. We have one swimmer, Moss Burmester, racing against Phelps. Moss has been unwell but still made the final in 7th place - silver is his best hope!
