A Florida, US, teenager has died of a lethal drug overdose in front of an online webcam audience just 12 hours after blogging about his plans to commit suicide, an investigator has revealed.

The 19 year old died on Wednesday from a toxic combination of opiates and benzodiazepine, a drug used to treat insomnia and depression. Another waste of a young life!

I have just been diagnosed as having basal cell skin cancer on my face, a lesser form on my forehead and possible skin cancer on my upper arm.

I'm not overwhelmed by the diagnosis, but happy I have had the cancers diagnosed early. Treatment on my forehead commences when I purchase some cream today, while further biopsy on my face will be used to determine the actual range of the cancer. This will have to be treated through minor surgery.

Like any community if the people within it do not communicate it can become a cold insensitive place like many suburbs around the western world.

Nobody is more disappointed than I about the election results in NZ. We have to get a life and move on with other things.

Just read an interesting story from Okinawa. I won't get too longwinded and will cut to the chase, friends.

On the islands of Okinawa near the mainland of Japan, it has been estimated that there were 740 centenarians in 2006, of which 90% were women in a population of 1.3 million.That is about 50 centenarians for every 100,000 people.

There is a cold war here in Kiwiland - waiting for the new government to form and takeover things. Quite strange really, some MMP governments have taken weeks to form.

As the polls indicated, there has been a swing to the right after the electorate demanded change!

The rightwing National Party has beaten left of centre Labour by about 16 seats on election night. Final figures in an MMP electoral system could take some time until special votes are gathered and counted.
