What am amazing ceremony! I love watching these events, and I'm sure we weren't disappointed - those who watched the opening cermony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games last night.

Those amazing drummers in the first section - how wonderful! So much wonderful history woven into the performances which included modern dancing too!

Pacific Northwest USA has both rain forest and desert. The photo of moss covering a tree is from the southwestern coastal area of Washington State, where it can rain up to a couple hundreds inches per year. With buckets of rainfall, trees naturally get covered in moss and lichen. But this tree, because of it's unusual branch structure, looks very lifelike covered in green. Don't you think?

New Zealand was attacked by weather bombs during the last week...

NZ was attacked by weather bombs during the last week, from the north to the south, from the west to the east. Storms have ravaged the country, with high winds, heavy and driving rain; trees were uprooted by the score; heavy seas prevented water being drained off in some places. Many homes have been damaged, some inhabitable. In the north thousands of homes have been without power for days on end, and some for many days to come because of falling power lines, fallen trees and slips. Mother Nature has been in a foul mood this week!

Recap of Episode 1 - Mozaquir had a relaxing day out by shopping in the town shopping centre with Imdad and Iqbal. They went home and witnessed that a girl had been brought into their house. Aneetha and the rest of the family were furious about the fact that someone from their family had adopted the girl. We find out that the person who adopted the girl was Mozaquir.
