I've been a bit distracted since being back in Australia from my adventure in China. (Only today I booked my flight back to China at the end of August too!)

It is hard to leave family and friends behind while I travel - especially when one's parents are elderly. My father is 89 and my mother is almost 93. They live in their own home, and manage most of the time.

It is not long to the Olympic Games - on the 8th of the eighth month (August) 2008 we will witness an exciting opening ceremony. In some ways I wish I could be there, but in others, I'm glad I'm back in Australia.

Blogging communities seem to come and go, but BlogEvolve keeps on ticking. It has outlived more than its share of sploggers and hoggers, and managed to keep its seasoned bloggers. Look at the wonderful five on the Highest Users Board. They've been here since way back, some since the beginning.
